City Hall – First Prize Winner, Rishon LeZion
Our design for the new Rishon Lezion City Hall won first place in the invited guest competition. Our guiding concept was to create an open, accessible building that invites public use, incorporating spaces like an auditorium, cafes, and green rooftops, all aimed at strengthening the connection between the municipality and its residents. We preserved the existing triangular structure, using it as a visible grid that anchors the new space. This grid is integrated within the enveloping square structure, creating a sense of openness and flow between floors, along with diverse perspectives throughout. Adjacent to the building, we designed an urban square that serves as a vibrant public space for the residents of Rishon Lezion, nestled in the city’s historic core.
